Change Model Size

After adding your model to the platform, you can adjust its size using two methods:

  • Change its dimensions along the X, Y, or Z-axis.
  • Change its scale coefficient.

Resize Model

Important: At least one 3D model should be added and selected.

Resizing a model allows you to change its size proportionally.

1. Select a model(s).

2. Press the resize-button.PNG icon on the left Tool panel.

→ A dialog box shown on the right opens.

3. Type in the required dimensions to the corresponding boxes, or use the + and buttons or the scroll wheel on your mouse to adjust the dimensions.

→ The model dimensions are changed.

Tip: The default measurement unit is mm. To change the measurement unit:
1. Press the file-icon.PNG icon.
2. Navigate to Preferences > General > Measurement Units, and select Inches or Millimeters.
3. Press Apply.

Rescale Model

Rescaling allows you to enlarge or reduce the model size along all the axes proportionally by changing the scale coefficient. By default, the model scale coefficient is set to 1.0.

1. Select a model(s).

2. Press the resize-button.PNG icon on the left Tool panel.

→ A dialog box shown on the right opens.

3. Indicate the required scale coefficient in the Scale field. Use the + and  buttons or the scroll wheel on your mouse to set the required scale coefficient.

  • If the scale coefficient is higher than 1, the model size is proportionally enlarged.
  • If the scale coefficient is lower than 1, the model size is proportionally reduced.

→ The scale factor changes and the system shows the model size in mm  or inches after scaling.
