Labeling feature allows you to engrave or emboss a label on the surface of your model. It is possible to place several labels on one model.

Important: If your model has supports, they will be deleted during labeling. Regenerate supports for the model, see Auto-Generate Supports and Add Supports Manually.

Create Label

To apply automatic labeling to a model, add the label text to the STL file name:
1. Navigate to the required STL file in the Windows Explorer.

2. Right-click on the required file and select Rename from the context menu.
3. At the end of the model name and before the “.”, add the required “$Label_text$” (without quotes), where Label_text is the required text for your label.
→ The resulting file name should look like this: Model_name$Label_text$.stl. In the screenshot example below, the label text that has been added is "Test_label".

Auto-Label Model

1. Load a model with the predefined label in Envision One RP.
→ The window with the list of models with predefined labels will appear.

2. Select a model by pressing on its name.

→ The system starts searching for the available areas on the model for placing the label.

3. Select the font size of the label text from the Font size drop-down list.

4. Select Engrave or Emboss to apply the label on the model correspondingly.

5. Use the Prev and Next buttons to switch between the areas on the model in case the system has found more than one suitable area for the label placement.

6. Press Apply.

7. Press Confirm.
→ The system starts applying the label on the model.

8. If there are other models with predefined labels, access the Labeling widget by clicking on the labeling-icon.PNG icon on the left Toolbar. Select the Auto tab and press Find and Replace. Proceed to the first step of this instruction.

Delete Label

To delete a label, press the Back arrow icon on the Actions Bar or use the keyboard shortcut <Ctrl>+<Z>.
