Software Update
To update Einstein with a new version of the software, check the Software Update tab on the touchscreen which provides information about the current versions of software and the new versions of software if they are available.
Go to Settings > Printer Settings > Software Update to open the tab.
If the latest versions of the software are installed on the printer, the Changelog button is available. It allows the operator to check detailed information about the current versions of software.
If there are any software updates, the Update button is available.
Important: Do not turn the printer off during the update!
1. Press Update.
→ The following screen appears. It shows information about the changes in the new software versions.
2. Press Start.
→ The process of printer updating starts.
→ The following screen appears.
4. To apply changes, reboot the printer by pressing Reboot. Otherwise, it reboots automatically in 30 seconds.
Custom Software Update
In some cases, you can order a custom version of the Control Software that contains special features or an early bug fix. Once that custom Control Software version is ready, you will receive an encrypted version number required to install the custom software update on the printer.
1. Go to Settings > Printer Settings > Software Update and press Change Version.
→ The following screen appears.
Notice: If no custom updates are added, the Apply button is not active.
2. Press Add Version.
→ The following screen appears.
3. Type in the encrypted version number.
4. Select the needed version from the list and confirm with Apply.
Tip: You can recover to the previous software version any time.
→ The system saves the previously installed Control Software version.
→ The following screen appears.
5. Press Start.
→ The Experience Improvement message appears asking if you allow the data collection to improve the experience with our products.
6. Press OK to allow data collection.
→ The process of printer updating starts.
→ After a successful printer update, the following screen appears.
7. To apply changes, reboot the printer by pressing Reboot. Otherwise, it reboots automatically in 30 seconds.
